Using data collected from Genome-wide association studies, researchers used Mendelian randomization, colocalization analysis, and genetic correlation to analyze the role leukocyte telomere length has on lung cancer susceptibility. Data revealed that longer leukocyte telomere length indicates the presence of lung cancer, highlighting the unique molecular role leukocyte telomere length plays in lung cancer development.
