Menstrual Suppression in the Myelosuppressed: A Retrospective Cohort Study
In a cohort of 90 adolescent and young adult female patients treated with myelosuppressive therapies and diagnosed with either Hodgkin or non-Hodgkin lymphoma, acute myeloid leukemia, or sarcoma, researchers discovered that 77.8% of patients experienced menstrual suppression. Despite this, researchers identified different practice patterns between pediatric and adult oncologists, resulting in patients being prescribed a wide variety of different agents.
